Punch Needle Embroidery
Punch Needle rug hooking and
Rug Hooking has become one of today’s most popular fiber arts.
Both are equally as fun, enjoyable and easy to learn
and it is not costly to get started, the rewards are
worth each stitch or loop you take. All it
takes for punch needle embroidery is a Cameo Punch Needle set,
a simple design transferred onto a tightly woven fabric,
sized to fit the design, lip look embroidery hoop and
Punch Needle Embroidery,
Punch Needle Rug Hooking is the same except you will need
a heavy punch needle designed for rug yarn, a rug hooking
frame, rug yarn and monks cloth, you can use
simple designs or more fancy one's if you desire. The choice
is yours to enjoy and a world of fun.
Rug Hooking the supplies are some what different as the tool you
use is a special designed rug hook and you use wool strips
cut 1/4 inches wide and about 18 inches long. Rather then
pushing the fiber from the top down you pull the wool
strips up from the reverse side, up through the open weave
of the Monks Cloth. This is a brief description and for
