What was once old, unwanted is now new and welcomes Family
and Friends to my Home.
At one time this old chair was in it's glory and I can hear the voice of the lady who once
owned it when it was new, saying don't scratch my new dinning chairs. Just like a Lady when she gets something new
for the family home.
the center
of a dinning room decor and many family dinners.
Time has most certainly change for some of us who's taste
has changed with time and the style of furniture we choose for out home. I can recall when most of us wanted New.and
now its Antique, Shabby Chic, and Primitive are, for the most part the chosen
style for our homes.
Along the way we have slowly moved into recuing old worn and
discarded items to decorate with. The
old chair in the photo is one I rescued from a yard sale and the person who was
selling it gave it to me. Don't know if
she knew how happy she made me and that was about 9 years ago. I have used it for a sewing machine chair and
it has slowly become weak from all the use.
So for now the Rabbit has a home.
The chair idea is not one of my idea's a picture was posted
to the forum and being I had the rabbit and chair, decided to Make-Do one some
what like the one in the picture posted..
Painted the rabbit white and stressed it with black shoe
polish wax. Bought a plastic flower pot
saucer, two bags of moss from the dollar tree and two little bundles of
flowers. Took all of thirty minutes to
paint and put it all together, the cash out lay was less then $8.00. It now set beside the entry to the front door
of the house.
God Bless and Have a Magical Day
Hugs, LenZie.
